A Substack Letters series between Mark Dykeman (How About This) and Julie Falatko (Do The Work) about childhood surroundings on creative work as an adult
"I was not a fan of going outdoors" totally won me over. Me neither. To the point where climbing a tree was too much (although, to be fair, there were a lot fewer trees around). It was all about books and tv for me. I did sit under a tree sometimes. I liked to sit in the dirt when I could. My childhood was a series of seated postures, in front of the tv, with a book, or outside to spice it up.
Commodore 64. Elite. Lost youth. Fond memories. Thargons, grrrrr!

Just enjoyed this series so much.
