How am I supposed to keep all of these Marks straight!?! The only thing for you to do is enter thunderdome and the best Mark will come out victorious. In the meantime, I'm happy to subscribe now to MarkFyve and look forward to it 👍
Way to go on the interview Mark in Canada! I learned so much more about Mark in Vero. If I mention both of you to someone, that's how I refer to you. :) Very interesting tidbits. I didn't know anything about Kindle Vella before this. It sounds intriguing and I'll have to explore it further. I'd like to find out how this would do vs. self-publishing a book. I'm not sure if you'd pull in more people via Vella or not.
MF......Your Nutz'n'Boltz was a brilliant concept! It woulda been fun to see a stab at playing that out! "Goofy robots"----like there could be such a thing!!
But, from the name, forward....many creatives miss the value of a solid, meaningful name that, all by itself, virtually screams purpose and invitation to dive in (just look at some of the 'Stack newsletter titles that proliferate, say, on the Thursday Office Threads!).
Anyway, great info on the Kindle Vella, which I was not aware of! It makes me sit back and go, "Hmmmm!" regarding the singer/songwriter (RCA album in 1974), Stephen Michael Schwartz, who's been contributing his autobio (with mega-exclusive photos and rare demo recordings/sound files) in segments (and, in his own words) on Front Row & Backstage, since February!
At some point, we've discussed (and his fans and many new readers have requested), eventually putting his Substack content (on FR&B) into book form, but had no real starting point of where to start "shopping"!
And, thanks to all the Marks who got together and made this interview happen!😁👍
Thanks for the kind words, Brad. If I ever start drawing again, I think N&B would definitely be on my "give a try" list.
Yes, you should definitely give Vella a look. I think it's a great platform for material you want to dole out in small amounts to keep people coming back and engaged. If you decide to give it a look and need any help, please don't hesitate to contact me and thanks again! :)
Enjoyed the interview and cool to learn a bit about Kindle Vella.
Good stuff! Enjoyed that interview.
Great interview - I’m a fan of FyveSpot, too!
Thank you, Bryan :)

Substack Marks are Monty Python Bruces! And there's also Technocomplex's Mark Farrell (aka Mark 3)!
Thank you, Brian! Much appreciated :)
Do I have to be called Mark to post here? ;D
Great piece by two favourite Marks on Substack - really interesting - thank you, both, for a super read!
I had no idea that 'Fyve' was a nom de plume - it's a great one! :D
