Hi everyone. Yesterday’s post was kind of heavy so I want to change it up a bit and give you some idea of where I hope this newsletter is going. I’ve been posting content somewhat randomly at this point but I’ve settled into a weekly publishing schedule.
Here’s what you can expect during a typical week: posts on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays with a high probability of at least one weekend post. Here’s some more details:
Mondays: interviews with interesting Atlantic Canadians like @katynotie and @dawnymock or other Atlantic Canada related content (alternating with the interviews), the “Atlantic Canada day”
Wednesdays: writing about some other topic of interest: creativity, learning, cognition, writing… the “brainy day”
Fridays: me sharing links to other great articles, newsletters or websites that I’ve enjoyed, things I think you’d also enjoy, the “linky day”
Weekends: whatever comes to mind that I think is important or interesting to share. I might publish fiction at some point, too.
Also, if you’re enjoying this newsletter, please consider promoting it to other people who you think would enjoy reading our stuff.
I greatly value your readership and feedback provided to date. I have high hopes for where all of this could go and I thank you for being the initial wave of readers and supporters. Take care!
Sorry to be a bit behind ... yes, your post re the appalling SCOTUS Roe V Wade ruling was heavy, but necessary and spot on. As an expat American living in the UK for the last 20 years, observing my birth country's death throes has been a mix of highs and - very, very - lows. This decision (and yesterday's ruling re prayer in schools) just being the 'tip' of the nadir, I fear. I'm not sure where the country is going, but unless something is done quickly - it will cease to be. And that's frightening on many accounts.
Thanks also for recommending The Bus in your letter a few days ago - I REALLY appreciate it!
Keep on rocking - I only fly over New Brunswick, but it sounds like a place we need to stop and visit sometime!
