Here’s this week’s Linky Friday post with some of the goodness that I (I mean the scouts) have discovered lately.
Thoughtful post from Nia:
From gwern.net (love this website design):
Ontology (this is probably heavy for a Friday)
Clay Shirky (who blocked me on Twitter for some unknown reason) wrote that ontology is overrated
Then people protested: e.g. peterme.com and biblioklept
All from a Reddit thread about organizing information in a Zettlekasten which cited Shirkey’s essay
The original question in Reddit Zettlekasten subreddit which provoked all of this
I have no idea.
The three way interview links from the week of June 27 - July 1, 2022:
Thanks once again to my collaborators Bryn and Alison for the three way interview posts we did this week. Don’t be surprised if this happens again…
Two of my older websites that still exist:
Keep Taking Another Step - mostly about running when I was running, including the story of completing my first (and only) marathon.
The Mighty Introvert - writing about introversion from the first person perspective. Here’s a post about how social media can be a very effective tool for the less socially inclined.
Until next week! I’ve released the scouts to find more good things!
The Mighty Introvert mentioned "The Introvert Advantage" a book that changed my perspective of myself and allowed me to recognize my strengths as an extreme introvert. "Quiet" was another special book in my life.
Hi Mark, thanks for linking to my newsletter and my post! I really like your three-way interview — I remember succeeding w NaNoWriMo once and then never managing to recreate it. Also, the doctor — defs a fictional character on my want-to-meet list too (esp 10 and 11).
